Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, Sunrise’s anime series, has originated from a manga series of the same name. After the immense success of the Inuyasha series, which was based on Rumiko Takahashi’s manga series, this is the sequel. It tells us the story of Towa and Setsuna Higurashi. They are the twin daughters of Rin and Sesshomaru, and Moroha is the teenage daughter of Kagome and Inuyasha Higurashi. This series first premiered in October 2020 and continued until March 2021. Following Inuyasha: The Final Act, Towa, the four-year-old daughter of Rin and Sesshomaru, finds herself unaccompanied in modern times. This happens after her being separated from her twin sister, whose name is Setsuna. Towa‘s half-aunt, Kagome Higurashi’s family, adopts her. Kagome belongs from Towa’s father’s side. Sota’s younger brother and his kind-hearted wife Moe raised Kagome. Setsuna’s substitute Towa establishes a bond with her younger adopted sister, six-year-old Mei.
Setsuna reunites with Towa ten years later. This happens when the twins are of fourteen years of age, and also when the renowned Sacred Tree of Ages’ great time-traveling authority brings them to the present day. Throughout their time apart, Setsuna transforms herself into a tough and obstinate demon-slayer fighting for Kohaku. She has lost all memory of her past due to the mythical Dream Butterfly. This has taken both her memories and her dreams. Half-demon twins set out to redeem the honor of their family. Moroha joins them. She is a fourteen-year-old fiercely independent daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome. She has no idea who her parents really are.

When the Sacred Tree of Ages stimulates after decades of sleep, it cautions them of a long-term opponent. This opponent is their paternal dog-demon grandpa, who plans to distort time itself. He does this because Sesshomaru refuses to face up to him personally in place of his dead father. When it arrives at time-based entities, none are as influential as the Sacred Jewel of Four Souls. Rin is now a teenager. This keeps her, in suspended animation who is awaiting her husband Sesshomaru because of their lethal connection to Zero. Zero is Kirinmaru’s elder sister and the inventor of seven mythical Rainbow Pearls.
In the month of May of 2020, the debut announcement of the show happened. It was broadcast on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV. Starting from the month of October 3, 2020, it remained until March 20, 2021. Sunrise produced the show. Teruo Sato directed it. The original author of Inuyasha, Rumiko Takahashi designed the main characters. Kaoru Wada, Yoshihito Hishinuma, Rumiko Takahashi, and Katsuyuki Sumisawa, who had worked on Inuyasha, returned as writers. Rumiko Takahashi serves as storyboard supervisor.
